Two-For-One Special!
Our July Ambassador is the best two-for-one… Elo-ly Bailey is always out and about with her husband, Corey, volunteering with Cherokee County Master Gardeners, Arts Council, Heritage Partners, and our Chamber of Commerce. Logging 1,000 volunteer hours in just the Master Gardeners alone, they have also served on the Friends of Murphy Library and Valley River Humane Society.
We are beyond grateful to have Elo-ly and Corey supporting this community that they have called home for the past 15 years. With the experience from their career in Claims and Risk Management, they have been an asset to the boards on which they serve. While they love to be a part of our community with such diverse interests, they moved to be closer to their daughter and grandchildren in Marietta. We honestly don’t know how they keep up with it all, but we’re so grateful!
In their free time, Elo-ly and Corey enjoy the quiet beauty around their house. Sharing their 5 acres with deer, turkeys, wood ducks, fish, 8 cats, and 1 dog certainly helps them recharge to go right back out and serve in this beautiful mountain community.
If you haven’t met the Baileys yet, we would love to introduce you at our August 15th AfterHours with Heritage Partners on the Murphy River Walk. They’re always fun to chat with, so grab a glass of wine and they can tell you about some great ways to experience the whole county: from the rivers to the mountains, the fun of small town shopping, and some delicious local restaurants. Just remember to let us know… what’s your favorite way to enjoy Cherokee County?
