EDUCATION...

Cherokee County is served by a county-wide school system.  The county has four high schools, located in Andrews, Murphy,  Hiwassee Dam, and the Mountain Youth Center.  Elementary schools are located in each town and in rural communities, so that children remain close to home during their early school years.
