Ribbon Cutting: We’ll welcome you with a ribbon cutting for your new or expanding business and submit a photo to the local newspapers. If you do not have a storefront, our Welcome Center is available for ribbon cuttings and our conference room is perfect for meeting with clients.
Internet Exposure: Our website will serve as a tool to supply a growing market with information about your business. Every Chamber member is listed in the alphabetical directory and in the searchable categorical directory on the Chamber’s website. Your business will receive a listing with a description of your services and a direct link to your website, email address, and social media.
You are able to add events to our online Events Calendar and add the Chamber as a co-host on facebook events so we can help promote your events.
Networking: Get to know other Chamber members at our AfterHours networking events, Lunch & Learns, Ribbon Cuttings, and business community events.
Member2Member News: Once a month we will send all Chamber members an email requesting submissions for our monthly newsletter. You can simply reply to this monthly email with your flyer or image attached (png or jpeg files), as well as any text highlighting sales, events, or any other announcement you would like to make. This Member2Member Newsletter is the perfect opportunity to network and stay relevant in our commminty!
Resources: If you need a temporary place to meet clients or work for a day, our conference room is available by appointment. We also have wi-fi to accommodate businesses and visitors alike.
Small Business Chamber Alliance: We have formed an alliance with three other Chambers of Commerce in Far Western North Carolina and with other regional partners to provide free seminars to Chamber members on topics of interest to small businesses. Inquire about the upcoming schedule.
Inquiry Referral Service: A weekly list of persons requesting relocation or tourist information about Cherokee County. These targeted leads are available to member organizations for $52 per year. We will respond with general information, but you can send information specifically about the services you offer.
Visitor Tracking: We closely track from where our visitors travel, and from which ads we receive inquiries. This information is available to members upon request.
Traffic Counts: We can provide you with the most recent DOT traffic counts.
Thousands of mail, telephone and e-mail inquiries are responded to annually, with information about your business when appropriate. (In 2014 we responded to 4,111 telephone calls, emails and faxes; and 7,466 visitors were assisted in our Welcome Center.)
Chamber management works closely with several regional groups such as AdvantageWest, Southeast Industrial Development Association, Western Carolina Industrial Partnership, Job Service Employer Committee, WNC Chamber Executives, Smoky Mountain Host, and Southern Highroads Development Association. All of these organizations work to make Cherokee County a better place.
Your Chamber dues provide the resources to maintain these relationships, giving the membership a collective voice and representation that could not be obtained individually. In addition, the Chamber of Commerce is actively involved in industrial and commercial development efforts, which is beneficial to the economic climate of the entire community. Chamber dues provide the resources to assist in this endeavor.
