Meet our July Member of the Month

Roz Barnett, Executive Administrative Assistant for the General Manager,

Lumpy Lambert at Harrah's Cherokee Valley River Casino & Hotel

 Roz with lantern

Roz was born in Marietta, GA and her family moved back to their home town of Murphy, NC when Roz was 6 months old. Roz graduated from Murphy High School in 1981. She received her Bachelors of Science degree at Western Carolina University in 1985. Roz moved to Marietta, GA in 1985 and worked at Georgia Institute of Technology and then moved to Andrews, NC in 2005. She started working at Harrah’s Cherokee Casino Resort in 2013 and then when the new casino was being built, she transferred to the Harrah’s Cherokee Valley River Casino in Murphy in 2015.

Even though, Roz is a Georgia Peach, she calls Murphy home, but lives in Andrews, NC. In her free time, she enjoys taking pictures, going to the Days of Our Lives events and taking pictures with the actors at various locations. Roz loves to travel and her next dream vacation will be in 2018 to Paris, France, London, England, Scotland, and several places in Italy including: Rome, Florence, Venice, Pisa, Monte Carlo, and the Vatican. Roz lives in Andrews – with her daughter Tiffany and she will be known as Grand Ma’ Ma to Madison Nicolee. Madison is her first grand-child, expected to arrive in mid-September. Roz loves to get out in the community at various events, so if you see Roz, get ready to smile, because she will be taking your picture!
